Cloffie, doing a search on it, it's eggs benedict over here. Most cafes give you the bacon or salmon options, but it's the salmon option that is eggs Montreal/Hemingway/royale.
Sounds like someone is doing things proper lol
Must tell my husband to stop ordering benedict and confuse them and ask for Montreal instead lol

You are the guru!thats what I thought when I did a search as well I assumed the salmon was the true montreal Unknowndisorder.
Isnt there a brand of tinnedsalmon known as Montreal Salmon!

Eggs Montreal is just salmon Florentine is spinach. Benedict is with ham. So many ppl assume that is traditionally served on a English split. No eggs beni made in France 1700s some time ago. 300 years before the splits were made in the usa. So eggs beni should be served on stale bread to soak up the holly. Holly should never be in the fridge and if so it is a form of mayo. holly should be made from butter and if put in the fridge will go hard. So as a chef of 20+ years if someone says well they are ment to be served on a spilt tell them go look it up
