Truck birthday cake

I'm keen to try a stock truck birthday cake for my son, but am unsure where to start. So far I am thinking that I'll use the Betty Crocker cake mix, use either round chocolate biscuits or chocolate buttons for the wheels (depending on the size of the cake), and butter icing, but not sure what to actually do to get the shape and design of it.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

just google "truck cake" and click on images, and heaps of pics come up.Something in there will catch your eye, and give you an idea of how to go about it.

What about making a square cake for the cab anda larger rectangle shape for the crate. Mallowpuffsor oreos for the wheels, liquorice straps to go around the crate for the decks and somehow make little sheep or cattle heads and put on top for the stock! My boy was into trucks too but he was an easter baby so I used to hollow out a deck and fill with easter eggs! best of luck
