How long does dried pasta keep?

I've had some macaroni for a few years in a not-quite airtight jar. It's still hard and smells fine (like pasta).do you think it's OK to use.! There is a lot of it so I'd rather use it than dump it.

It keeps pretty much forever, no problem. I'd use it without hesitation.The whole point of dried pasta originally was as a preservation method.

I routinely buy large quantities of good pasta when I find it, usually a couple of years worth at a time.I'm always finding odd old packets every here and there, and it's still in excellent condition when I use it.
