Caramel self saucing pudding recipe needed

Caramel self saucing Pudding

1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/4 cupsself-raising flour
100g butter, melted
2 tbs golden syrup
1 egg
Just over 1/2 cupmilk
½ cup packed brown sugar extra
1 tbs cornflour
2 tbs golden syrup extra
1 1/2 cups boiling water
Double cream or ice cream, to serve

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Grease a 1.5 litreovenproof dish.
Combine 1/3 cup of the brown sugar and all of the flour in a bowl.
Add the melted butter, egg, milk and first of the golden syrup and stir until combined.
Spoon into greased dish.
Combine the 2nd 1/2 cup of brown sugar and cornflour.
Sprinkle over the pudding mixture.
Combine boiling water with the other 2 tbs of golden syrup.
Pour over the top of the pudding mixture and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Serve with double cream or ice cream.

Hmmm my recipe is the same but it doesn't have cornflour, I add less sugar and more water into the sauce than my recipe says too

The cornflour gives that nicer texture to the sauce, in a way is similar to replacing cocoa in the Choc version (the sauce part that is), if that makes sense.
