Can you freeze pavlova

planing to make lots of pavelova for a 21 st , has any one freezed them.

Personally I wouldn't because when it defrosts it goes soggy, the sugar goes syrupy, and you lose all the crunchiness of the top and sides.
But if you serve it slathered with thickened(not whipped) cream everyone will assume the cream made it that way.so you could get away with it.

I make pavlova rolls and they freeze great.

My mum used to make pav and freeze for family meals - large family and no one ever moaned they were delicious
