Self rising flour question

I have a recipe that calls for 3 cups of Self raising flour but I have run out can some brain box out there please tell me how much baking powder I should add per cup to make my plain flour into self raising .Many thanks.

1 tsp per cup or for scones, 2 tsp for scones.

one teaspoon of BP to one cup of flour

I do a heaped teaspoon - just one you stir your cup of tea with.I don't like the BP taste that you get if too much is added.
