Wifey has made first ever pea and ham soup. It's delicious but we have a lot left over. Is is safe to freeze and reheat! Wifey is a little worried cause we used a ham steak as the ham ingredient and it would have been partially cooked when we bought it today!

Freeze away :) Your soup will be perfectly fine & a meal from the freezer to look forward to at some point during winter.

I often use a bacon hock which I think is pre-cooked and freeze for later.

Have been making big pots of pea and ham soup and freezing excess for later for about 50 yrs and I'm still here, so must be ok.

I freeze it all the time. Put it in serving size containers an microwave.

Freezing is good - I use ice cream containers
