Silverside on the stove?

how long do you think this would take i usually slow cookbut didnt put it on this morning and now i feel like it. my nana used to do it on the stove all the time and always tasted awesome

it really depends on the size of it. Average 3 hours

The only way I ever do dit, can't give you a time, it depends on how big the piece is. Yumm. Not like the old days though when it was brined for a week.

Bring a stock pot of water to boil add golden syrup 2 tablesppons good slosh of malt vinegar coupl;e of bay leaves and some peppercorns.add the corned silverside.bring back to the boil and when its to boiled turn down to a simmer for around 1.1/2 hours then turn OFF and LEAVE TO COOL IN LIQUID.

yep exactly this, done it for years before S/Cookers came into fashion. Rinse meat under cold water first as some brines are so salty these days and always leave in juice to cool this keeps it nice and moist, don't forget to save a cup of your liquid for the yummy mustard sauce lol.
