Does anyone know if there is any way to store them longer term! My recipe only calls for a few and I have got quite a big bunch - hate to waste them - would they freeze!

Yes, they freeze well. Ziplock bag or small freezer container. Use them straight from the freezer. The same with Kaffir Lime leaves.
recently did an indian cooking class, teacher said they will keep well as they are for about a month, they had just dried out but still added nice taste to our dishs
