Sausage rolls already being done and he's a 12 year old boy so doesn't want fairy bread :-) Thanks for the suggestions though - might do party pies if I can't think of anything else.

cheese scones Asparagus rolls bacon &egg pie coleslaw-- the healthier option fruit platter- if you don't want to cook lamingtons sandwiches with hundreds and thousends-(yuk) cheese and pineapple cubes mousetraps made with vegemite- lol
I'd keep away from the sweet stuff and go along the lines of bacon and egg pie. Or bread cases with a quichey filling. Smallish mince pies. How the food is stored and whether it can be heated would make a difference too.

Take anything.NZ is too Multi Cultural always has been.Nothing traditional about NZ Foods unless you go back to the Maori, send a boiled kumara perhaps.

Kumara chips with tomato sauce, roast lamb sliced with mint sauce (on a bun!), mini mince & cheese pies, mussel fritters or marinated/smoked mussels.
