Hi all, thought I'd share this very simple but oh so delicious chowder recipe with you, of course would have been great with blue cod, but I draw the line at $36 a kg! So i improvised and replaced the cod with monkfish, which held itself together nicely, and replaced the oysters with scallops, because I had lots! anyway it was yum! And reccommend trying it!

I recently discovered that blue cod is an endangered species in some areas (Marlborough Sounds is one) and that much blue cod comes from the Chatham Islands and arrives frozen.

I like monkfish because it stays in chunks and doesn't break up.It's good for fish curries too.
