Am I able to sit it on a rack with water under it and water in the bowl as well!I don't have any fuel as yet and need to use it.Is this possible!TIA

What is it made from!Numerous materials were used for chafing dishes; but if it fits, I don't see that you'll have a problem. :-)

It's made from stainless steel.I want to sit it on a rack with water surrounding it.This will be in a bain marie.I'll still fill the bottom bowl with water also.It won't damage it do you think!
