Sponge filling - help please

Does anyone have a good recipe for a filling for a sponge that is not whipped cream! Thank you.

There is mock cream.I have never made it but have had it in sponges etc and it is very good.

If you are going to eat it soon after filling it, there's no reason why you couldn't use a thick yoghurt.a Greek berry one like Cyclops would be dessertalicious :)

hi i use instant pudding and i use 250mls of cream so it thickens. or gelatine cream and chocolate

Use either a home made or good lemon cheese/honey. "Aunty Von's" is the nearest to a lovely home made one. You could fill with a good amount of that and a good dusting of icing sugar on top.
