Put chops in about ten thirty this morning,shrunk badly.What could be the problem,have I left them in too long!

did you put any gravy/water in with them! Yes they do shrink; usually not by more than a quarter if you don't over cook them. I recall my mothers baked/roasted ones were often seriously over done and half the original size.
