Has anyone else noticed that carrots aren't tasty anymore! Thay have a musty flavour (if that makes sense). I don't want to grow my own so does anyone know where I can get yummy carrots in Chch! Do I need to buy organic!

Yes i have smelt that with them too.I think they are old when you get them.

Supermarket carrots taste like old dirt and the washed carrots become slimy within a day or two of purchase.You don't need to pay a premium for organic unless you want to, but look for a Farmers' Market or a roadside stall in your locality where they're grown.

The little ones in plastic bags are the worst, they smell like old socks, I reckon they are reject/stale carrots whittled down to alpproximate a carrot shape, they also taste musty.
