Cheesecake.why?

I made the easy chocolate cheesecake today from the tv 3 breakfast show, top chocolate bit turned out great, but the bottom biscuit part is still exactly as it was when I put it in the fridge! not sure what I did wrong, one packet of wine biscuits and 50g melted butter as per recipe.

50g butter to a pkt of biscuits is not enough to make the base go hard.Most of the recipes I have seen use 125g of buttter

I don't measure the butter for cheesecake but 50gms would be no where near enough.I always add it until the biscuit mix can hold its own in my hand, its usually more like 125 to 150gms depending on the type of biscuits used.
