Used to be able to buy terakihi and hoki like that. Think they were marketed by sealord. They were in the freezer section with the fish fingers/cakes etc. Haven't seen them for a while, but hten I haven't been looking either.

It usually has a coating on it (breaded or battered) because fish does freezer burn quite easy, but next time you are over in Nelson Guytons have alsorts, Talleys have it over here in Motueka as well, but thats a bit further to come of course.

Just buy some fish fillets, skin on and freeze with baking paper in between, skin side out and all air removed from labelled bag.may get a little freezer burn on the edges. but you wouldn't want it frozen for more than 3ish months. becomes cat food after that.
