I think the crock pot recipe would be pretty similar, do you put it on a trivet or just as is! - You might need to keep an eye on the sauce level if the latter.

Mmmm yummmo - will give it a try thanx

I use a microwave recipe too because I can't be bothered with the waiting lol

I don't add coffee or rum in mine though. Mine is purely chocolate heaven!

60 g butter
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa (extra)
2 cups boiling water

you can do it in an crockpot

heres one from a previous thread
This is the crockpot version of our selfsaucing pudding! 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar, 3 Tbsp. cocoa, 2 tsp. baking powder, dash salt, 1/2 cup milk, 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil, 1/2 tsp. vanilla. 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. cocoa, 1-3/4 cups hot water. In large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients and stir to combine. Add milk, cooking oil and vanilla and stir well. Pour into crockpot. In a medium bowl, stir second amount of brown sugar and second amount of cocoa together. Add hot water and mix well until blended. Pour over batter in crockpot; do not stir! Cover crockpot and cook on high about 2 hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Just checking, are the last 3 the sauce component and how long for yours in microwave. Thanks

zirconium, Apr 9, 4:55am
That's about 1.5 times the recipe i posted, it would be about 9 mins in a 1000w microwave. My guess is the last three are sauce. :)

crockpot CSS is the best ever (thank you weight gain)

Yup that's the sauce, although I tend to use less water so the sauce isn't so diluted. I divide my mixture into 2-3, and microwave on high for 2 mins first, then 30 second intervals til cooked. Sorry for the late reply!

This one is quite rich, although delicious.

50g dark chocolate, chopped
60g butter
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
160ml milk
150g self-raising flour
110g caster sugar
100g) firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten lightly

Fudge sauce
250ml water
50g butter, chopped
110g firmly packed brown sugar
25g cocoa powder

NOTE: This recipe is best made close to serving.

Preheat the oven to moderate 180C. Grease a two-litre capacity (eight-cup) ovenproof dish. Combine the chocolate, butter, sifted cocoa and milk in a medium saucepan and stir over a low heat until the chocolate is melted.

Sift the flour into a large bowl, stir in the sugars; add chocolate mixture and egg, mix well. Spread mixture into prepared dish. Pour the fudge sauce over the pudding. Bake in a moderate oven for about one hour or until firm.

For the fudge sauce, combine all ingredients in a small pan and stir over a low heat, without boiling, until combined.
