Do you feel as perplexed as I do when you read of Slow Cooker recipes that people exclaim over,when they could have the same result in half an hour in a "fast-cooker!"The slow-cookers must use more power over 6 or so hours than just the stove element for 30-40 minutes.Is it just that people are uncertain how to use them,because cousin Shirley blew her eyebrows off and ruined the ceiling in the famous accident of 1967! So unecessary! My pressure-cooker(basic model)is my most valuable kitchen thingy!

I think a lot of people perceive them as being difficult and complicated.
I found out that most Indian household have at least one and often more pressure cookers.

I love my pressure cooker. Everything comes out so tender and in such a short time. However, the beauty of the slow cooker is that once you put it on it needs no attention at all so it can left and a meal will be ready when you get home.
