Mushrooms aplenty

Dunedin's weather has produced a bonus in that we have picked buckets of mushrooms this morning and still more in the paddocks - who has successfully frozen them or do they need to be incorporated into dishes and then frozen! I have already given heaps away. Thanks for any suggestions.

I used to do the same as #2.although I cooked them in butter and froze them, that way you can pull them from freezer and just thicken for mushroom sauce

Just chop and freeze.I just throw handfuls in omlettes, pasta, etc as I need.Free flow freezing is best and then transfer to bags.

Lucky you. We have a puff ball on the lawn which has grown to the size of a soccer ball. My husband even mowed around it yesterday. I have left it to see how big it grows.
