Doubling a cake mixture.

I just got a new cake tin and it's nice and big:) The Edmonds one-egg cake mix I normally use in my tiny little tin would barely fit the bottom of my new tin so I'm hoping to double the whole recipe.
Can anyone tell me about cooking times! Is it doubled! Is the temperature the same as the original, or maybe put it on a lesser temp for a longer period of time. Help!

If the cake will be the same thickness when finished, the cooking time will be around the same. Its best to test for doneness with a skewer( it will come out totally clean from a cooked cake) or a quick touch with a finger (if it bounces back, its ready) to be sure that it is ready. If cake is thicker you'll need to increase cooking time - usually same temperature oven.
