Homemade fish cakes for tea what would be a nice side Veggies or Salad!
Or any other ideas!

Coleslaw made with white cabbage, red onion, capers, gherkins, homemade mayonnaise, chopped parsley and chives.

ohhh yum! sounds like a gorgeous coleslaw (love the crunch factor).Yes, I wouldn't serve cooked veges at this of year, would definately go for the raw salad option (my family likes the 70's style one: iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, boiled eggs and a bit of grated cheese . not very flash but it always keeps the family happy . oh, and I normally splash some balsamic vinegrette over it just before serving to modernise it a little!)

Tender, freshly picked, steamed green beans would be a perfect accompaniment and a seasonal one.
