Onion "jam" - can this be frozen?

I've found several nice looking recipes for onion "jam" on here, and all need to be kept in the fridge and have a shortish life. Could they be frozen, and scooped out as needed, like frozen fruit jams! (They contain vinegar.). Thanks!

I have the same question about chilli jam.

Should be ok. Is it used like a chutney!

Yes, from what the recipes say. :)Think calling it "jam" is a fancy label for a short-life chutney or relish!I just want to use up some red onions I grew (by mistake) that apparently don't store as long as brown onions.
