Ihave just made Digby Laws apricot sauce,followed the recipie but it is so overly strong in the clove flavour,should I add more apricots or more apple or what, has cost quite a bit too get recipies to this stage, any suggestions greatly appreciated

#1 have just finished my apricot sauce tonight and it has quite a bite with the cayenne pepper and cloves, amnot worried, i put it in the pantry for a few weeks and it mallows out with sitting, by the time winter gets here it will be good to go.
