Hi experts.Before/in case . I waste ingredients, are silicon muffin trays okay for making savoury bread cases. Was just about to start (using Food in a Minute recipe) when I realised I had lent D-I-L my nonstick metal ones. I can't imagine the silicon ones would get hot enough.

I'vetried it and found that they didn't crisp up as well as in metal tins.

I precook my bread cases then recook with the filling, however also only used metal tins.

Okay . it worked but slow (upped oven temp considerably) and wouldn't recommend. Nice recipe though.
