plum sauce. A great way to use up bottled fruit, if it is sitting. The way my Grand kids get through my sauce got me to thinking how to extend the fruit. I bottled heaps of apples two years ago, and only 3 have been used, we get apples all year so cheap. The sauce finished up very well. 3kg of red plums 3 large jars of sweetened apples. I guess any fruit would have been OK to use. Because the fruit was sweetened in the jars, I halved the sugar.
