Might end up a little plasticky. I know when I melted cheese slices when I was much younger.they never tasted very good at all. Though, worth a try!

ialso thought they may go plasticky but will give them a go unless someone has a receipe that doesnt require cheese please

I would actually be tempted to give the cheeseslices a miss and see what the scones come out like without cheese! Or else make some savoury muffins instead.they definitely don't need cheese to make them delicious!
