OK cool, I'm making jam today but have soooo many plumbs and not enough sugar. I want to freeze them and make them later on so thanks for that :)

I have frozen them whole but found pulping them to be better, removing the stones. I then put the pulp into ice cream containers, they stacked in the freezer better.

I agree - you can fit far more plums in the freezer this way!

Yes there is nothing worse than a big supermarket bag full of frozen plums bursting the bottom of the bag as you lift it. Plums all through the freezer are a pain. So yes do use icecream containers or similar.

I would always pu them in the freezer whole straight from the treee. I would use a freezer bag and put in about 1kg of plums in each bag and then put them in a supermarket bag as well in the freezer to stop the bag burst. Then I would stew and bottle them in the cooler months.

I'm going to bag up the correct amount so I can just take a bag out at a time and make some more jam. My jams bubbling away right now and I'm soooooo excited. Going well so far - fingers crossed.
