Before I go and buy a 10kg bag of these spuds, does anyone know if they are good for mashing, roasting, chipping or !

Sorry, but unless I'm in extra-thick mode today, I can't see where it says what they are best for, ie. are they any good for chips, mashing, roasting!

I like Ilam Hardys a lot; and if Driver potatoes are better, then I'm presuming they would be an excellent choice.I'm only basing this on because they mentioned Ilam Hardy. Two Thumbs Up.
PS: You are not dumb :-) (hugs)

"Dry matter similar to Ilam Hardy." Bottom of first paragraph.

"Ilam Hardy
A yellow skinned white fleshed potato. Full flavoured, tending towards being floury. It is an all purpose potato suitable for most end uses especially mashing and baking."

Ie its a floury Potato.

"holds together well on boiling. Dry matter similar to Ilam Hardy."

It's a bit OT, but my local supermarket are currently selling Daniel potatoes, which I'm enjoying, as I have an aversion to Agria and Nadine.

Love Ilam Hardy but they have such a short season.Only seem to be around for a few weeks, then we go back to Agria.

I want spuds which will make good chips as my son is supposed to be bringing me some fresh snapper tomorrow (if the fish are biting)
