how do i make russian fudge thats not grainy from the sugar, i tried slow boiling till the sugar was dissolved but it never did.please help

You bring the milk and sugar to a boil first before adding the other things.Make sure it is well boiling - not necessary to wait until it dissolves.I also add everything else and make sure it is almost boiling again before I put the condensed milk in (just my preference, not the recipe).You then need to simmer it for around 30 mins - it becomes quite dark in this time.Stir it often making sure that everything is cleaned down off the side and into the mix.It needs a good rolling simmer - it should look a little like mini hot mud pools.They you beat it for around 5 mins or until very thick and pour into the dish.This should make it melt in the mouth delicious - the sugar grains are miniscule and so not really grains at all.
