It just came to me at work so I went home & made it. I chopped & fried half an onion, toasted & buttered 2 slices of bread, covered 1 slice with the onion, grated cheese on top so it melts, put a good portion of lettuce on top, followed by a generous amount of mayo. & then I put the other toast on top, & flipped it. I sit.I bite.I'm in love.

Oh yummy! My fav sandwich would have to be Dark Rye bread, spread with lo fat cream cheese top with sliced ham, sliced tomato, sprinkle with black pepper and another slice of dark bread spread with cream cheese.
