Lemon meringue pie. Any ideas as cannot eat fat till gall bladder removed. Thanks

Eggs have fat in them and eggs are the basis for the lemon filling in meringue. Also, depending on the recipe, there may also be butter.

I can't really think how that would work.how about making lemon sorbet or ice cream and making it into a basic baked alaska instead, or making lemon curd and pouring it over meringues or a pavlova! As the base of lemon meringue pie is supposed to be short pastry aka fat galore
