My kind sister bought me a pack of diced venison while here over the xmas weekend.I was going to pop it in the slow cooker, does anyone have a nice receipe I can use with ingreadiants to add to it.I have only done beef and chicken in it with veges and just want to cook it with nice food that will compliment the taste. Hi i slow cooked my venison and wrecked it. Dried out the meat, it actually changed the texture, was yuk.Think because it is such a lean meat! Next time i treated it as a beef casserole, cooked it in the oven for two and a half hours, it was superb. Ingredients - same as beef casserole

tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, splosh of red wine, mushrooms, onions, all compliment the flavour of venison (all in together girls this fine weather)
