HELP !mum used to make a lovely strawberry shortcake every xmas but shes not here any longer.She use to make and cook the base then I would cut up the strawberries on top and then put strawberry jelly (partly set) all over and put in fridge waiting to cut and eat.

I recently read the recipe for that Strawberry Shortcake in the book called "Gran's Kitchen" or similar title. I no longer have the book but hopefully someone else can give you the recipe.
