Choux pastry tree - anyone!

has anyone attempted one of these!they look sooo good but i hear that choux pastry is difficult and fiddly to make.id really like to have a go but xmas day might be the wrong day to 'try it out' lol.

they are not that difficult. Have you made choux pastry before! You also need a piping bag with large round nozzle to get even formed balls. . The assembly is the easiest part

Make sure the choux puffs are dried out in a low oven after cooking.

If you dont it may collapse.

You can use caramelised sugar or melted chocolate to stick them together.

I recommend chocolate as it is easier to work with.

choux puffs are easy, I use the edmonds recipe and they are perfect everytime. The only mistake i made at the beginning is not to place them on the tray in teaspoon lots. They are too small then. You need a fairly large dollop or pipe on. Fiddly but delicous.
