Cutting up slice - question

I have a made a weetbix slice.I don't want it to crack when I am cutting it in to squares.I could lift the whole thig out of the tray and then slice it as it's on baking paper, or slice it in the tin.Which do you think would minimise cracking!

I don't like slicing mine in the tin because it marks the tin.You could mark it in the tin though - almost cutting through but not quite and then when its quite cold, remove it and then use a knife to cut the rest of the way through.
