Mince pies

what pastry do you use, I intend to buy prerolled can be bothered fluffing around making - and the mess! I'm cleaning out the overflow cupboard from the pantry and have found some fruit mince dated 21 Oct 05! do you think I could use it, has been sealed looks and smells ok, I will add grated apple and brandy. I found another dted 1995 think I will throw that one out lol! but again looks ok and sealed.

just read the ingred and it has brandy wine and acetic acid in it so probably preserved pretty well, I will make a few and give to hubby and if hes sick wont make any more!

I would use it, if too crystallized add it to a boiled fruitcake.

wish I had a well stocked pantry like that.
