Prefer a tried and true recipe rather than one of the web - can anyone help please!

You can take any recipe that uses Honey and swap it out for Maple Syrup.
Here are the differences: Maple Syrup is lighter in honey; much more malleable and easier to mix. The taste of Maple Syrup tends to be less sweet than Honey; but has a deeper richer, and in my opinion a better flavour.
It goes and flows on much better than Honey when glazing your pork. Just don't pour on so much that it pours off; but rather paint it on; allowing it to coat the cut pattern of the fat on your ham. Allow to dry a little and apply another coat.
The only thing to watch for: 90% of all Maple Syrups available to buy are Maple Syrup Flavoured. They are not Maple.
Look for that really cool bottle which says its the real deal. It's dearer, but oh.soooo. worth it.

Merry Christmas :-)
