Yesterday I was going to make lemon shortbread (recipe from Woman's Weekly) and found I had no lemons for the zest. Instead I used lemon flavoured icing sugar and the zest of an orange. The biscuits are really nice. I'm going to make the next batch with the berry flavour.

Thats a great idea. I have use the berry icing once but added more plain icing sugar so it was not as strong. Hope you got the $1.00 discount coupon that they had at the supermarket was good price with coupon used

Thought I might give them a try, they look interesting to use. Doesthe lemon one have a real lemon taste!

It's quite subtle in the shortbread biscuits. The orange zest gives it more flavour.
