Corned ox tongue

Do I cook this the same as corned beef? I use a crockpot. Do I peel the skin off when cold and only serve as a cold meat?

Its really nice hot! ! From memory the skin comes off easier when cold, but its been a long time since I had any!

Skinning is easier when cool to avoid burning yourself and I think its nicer cold but its also very good hot. I haven't seen it for ages in the shops, I'd really like some.

i was told that the shops were not allowed to sell any head meat when i asked for tongue meat at pack and save in hastings im going back to have a tanty

Put some vinegar in the water when boiling . It makes it easier to peel.
