just found a recipie i wanna make tomorrow but it needs smoked tofu. i assume i can use normal!its going in with lentils celery brocolli tom paste and leeks with a mashed spud topping. cheers.

Yes, no problem.I've got Spanish smoked paprika which I would add, but it's not essential.

Marinate it. Let me see. I used to marinate tempeh in soy, lemon juice, tabsco, garlic, oil and tomato paste before cooking with it.

You can buy liquid smoke which is great to have in your pantry.You only need a tsp or 2 to add that smokey flavour.Also like Elliehen says smoked paprika is good.
