Making strawberry jam, been picking for nearly 2 months, saving the less pretty ones in the freezer and today I had enough for several jars.food gardening is such fun.did herbs last weekend.

I like it when the food plants in the garden are all mixed up with the flowers and other display plants, so you can lean over to sniff a rose and pick a cape gooseberry while you're there.

I freeze my less pretty ones too lytande!Trouble is, I never get the chance to make jam as dd11 turns them all into smoothies.I'm going to try hiding them away this year - homemade strawberry jam just can't be beaten.

Hide them at the back and bury under the broccoli. LOL.
