Corn and cheddar cheese chowder.

Does anyone know a good recipe! I remember having this when younger and want to make it tonight. Can anyone help!

bit late for your dinner Wednesday night but thought I would share this recipe as it was yum. From the Barefoot Contessa, although her recipe serves 10! plus American measurements so I adjusted it with guess work to make less. Here is my adaption

cheddar corn chowder :
4 rashers bacon
oil
2 onions
2 T butter
1/4 c flour
salt/pepper
1/2 t ground tumeric
6 c chicken stock
couple of potatoes
3/4 cups corn kernels (depends how corny like it - i like a lot of corn)
1 cup of half & half (I used full fat milk although probably nice with combination of milk & cream)
sharp cheddar as much as you like - I used about 2 cups

cook bacon in oil, add onions and butter cook. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, tumeric and cook few minutes.Add chook stock & potatoes, bring to boil, cook until potatoes tender.

Add corn, milk and cheese.Cook 5 minutes until cheese melted.
