I am making a slice with a cream cheese topping filled with fruit and the same base crumbled on top.I have lost the recipe for the base, can anyone help me with something similar!I used to push 3/4 of the mix into a slice tin and bake for about 10mins then put the custardy filling with fruit and the last 1/4 of the mix I used to crumble on top.Can anyone help with a recipe for the base!

This is the base and crumble topping for Tan Slice.is it similar!
180g butter, ½ cup sugar, 2½ cups flour, 1 tsp vanilla essence. Preheat oven to 180°C, grease a shallow sandwich tin, Cream butter & sugar, add flour and vanilla, mix with hands and put two thirds into the tin.Save one third for crumble top.
