This recipe is from an elderly neighbour who does this for our street bbq and its always a hit.

sm cauli broken up

melt the following together:
50gm butter
half cup brown sugar
1-1and half tsp curry powder

Add half c mayonaise and a few cashews and raisins

Hi, no you don't cook the cauli first. Its a great salad, very tasty

It comes down to personal preference, whether you cook, blanch, or eat ! raw. I am not keen on some vegetables raw, I blanch, refresh, and chill, cauli, broccoli, carrots, parsnip.

CURRIED CAULIFLOWER SALAD
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream or plain yoghurt
2 teaspoons curry powder, or to taste
1 finely choped onion
Parsley, choped
1/2 -1 depending on size uncooked cauliflower, cut up into very small florets
1/2 cup raisins, add more if you like
Cashew nuts or roasted blached peanuts as many as you like at the last mintue
Best made a day before it is needed
Hubby doesn't like cooked cauli but will eat this.

Yummany thanks we have just made and enjoyed.Heres another you may enjoy
Carrot Apple Pecan salad
2-3 grated carrots
1 large eating apple grated
handful of raisins
chopped handful pecans
2 tbspnolive oil
1 tbspn orange juice
1 1/2 tbspn cider vinegar
mix dressing and toss
Yummy.
