Yeast: for breadmaker

I picked up the wrong bottle off the shelf , instead of the one I usually get which is the breadmakers yeast , I picked up Edmonds active yeast. is this still suitable for the bread maker , I have googled it but doesnt really say . wonder if anyone here knows

Yes that is what I have always used and have had no problems with it.I didn't even know you could buy yeast specially for breadmakers!

Do you mean you got the active yeast instead of surebake yeast!They are quite different products - the surebake is more of an 'instant' yeast while the active yeast should be activated prior to using (sprinkle on warm water/milk with a tsp sugar added and leave till frothy).You use about a third of the quantity of active yeast than you do of surebake.There is also another yeast called Edmonds instant yeast - it comes in sachets.It is instant but without any of the bread improvers that surebake contains.
