The biscuit cake
Ingredients:
250gwine biscuits 1/2 cup cornflakes 1/2 cup sultanas 125g butter 3-4 TBSPS condensed milk 1 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
Crush wine biscuits and cornflakes finely. To this add the sultanas . Melt together butter, vanilla essence and condensed milk.
Add this to the dry mixture and blend together well.
Press into a swiss roll tin.
Ice with chocolate icing. Sprinkle withcoconut or chopped nuts.
For variations, you can eliminate the sultanas and vanilla essence, add1-2 tsps lemon juice, 1 TBSP lemon zest and ice with a lemon icing.
For a more chocolatey flavour you can add 1-2 TBSPs cocoa to the mix.

I used to think there must be a lovely old Nana Imo somewhere, completewith floury apron, after whom these were named...but I acquired Canadian friends who put me straight.
