Im looking at buying a new slow cooker as mine just broke. I need some help in what brand and what size should i buy. Ideas please.

Don't get one to small if your going to cook bigger pieces of meat, or if your cooking for a family. Most go for a 6 litre then you an cook heaps of things. For smaller quantities you can set a ovenproof bowl inside the big bowl and use that. I have a Russell Hobbs one.
