Ovens that are very.... slow to heat

I have a simpson double oven and both are extremely slow to heat. Can an electrician test them to see if they are working properly? [By slow I mean taking half an hour to get to 180 and the grill not moving past 50 in the smaller oven]. TIA

I'd have them checked. When I bake bread I use a little timer set for 10mins and my oven has usually reached 220C in that time. Sometimes it takes a little longer in the winter ('diluted' power- just joking). It also takes longer if I use my baking stone as that takes longer to heat.

Have you got a tinfoil liner in your oven that is interfering with the heat from the element? Modern stoves don't like tinfoil liners because the bottom element is below the liner rather than above it, as they once used to be.
