Oven Temp?

aurora5, Jul 4, 4:20am
How can I tell if the temp in my oven is correct.I tried baking a slice yesterday, used the temp that the recipe said.I cookedit longer and it still wasn't cooked properly.
I have just had a new element put in the top of the oven.

If you have just had a new element put in can you get the trades person to come back to check the temp?My parents had a similar thing happen and the guy came back with a thermometre thingy and found out the element that had just been replaced was not working properly.

Did think about calling them back but thought that there might just be a way that I could check.Probably best to call them back.Just hope there won't be a call out charge. They're a killer. Thanks anyway.

Ring and check re the call out charge. You shouldn't have to pay it if the element they supplied is faulty.(Not sure what the Consumer Guaranties Act says - but it's worth asking.
